Unbelievably, we’ve ended up in almost the same situation today, as we did last Sunday…
The abandonment of Huntingdon (or more specifically, the abandonment of the Peterborough chase), meant that there were only 2 races in which I could realistically get involved…
The first was the John Durkan at Punchestown - and whilst it’s a very tricky race to call, I was going to take a small risk on Samcro.
However, he has just be withdrawn - so it’s back to the drawing board.
My slight preference would now be for Battleoverdoyen - but at 5/1 against some serious opposition, there is minimal margin…
The other race of interest, was the Borders National at Kelso.
I’d narrowed that down to 2: Looking Well and Duc de Grissay.
However, Looking Well has also just been withdrawn (I think someone is trying to tell me something !) - and whilst that should make things easier for Duc de Grissay, a best price of 4/1 would be the minimum I would consider playing at (and I’m not sure you’d all achieve that !)
As a consequence, it’s going to be another blank Sunday.
Again, I can only apologise - but if the opportunities aren’t there, I’m not going to force them.
If you want to force any yourself, then the preview that I posted on the forum yesterday evening, should help you find a few bets…
Otherwise, the next official bets will be issued on Friday (all being well !), when Cheltenham hosts the first day of its 2 day December meeting.
Prior to that, I will try to find a midweek race or two, to preview unofficially - though the fixtures for the early part of the week, aren’t overly inspiring !
Good job we had a decent day, yesterday, hey :)
TVB.
